Investigative journalism award to Adrian Mogos

BRUSSELS – 13 / 7 / 2010 – Romanian journalist Adrian Mogos has won the CEI – SEEMO award for Outstanding Merits in Investigative Journalism. Mogos is praised for his cross-border stories, among them the Slave Labour Trafficking, which was made possible through a grant from Journalismfund.eu.

/published 2006/ - Poor Ukrainian women make some extra money by giving birth to babies of Western European parents, who can not have babies themselves. Everybody is happy – or not?

Well, not if the baby is handicapped, if the Western couple gets divorced during the pregnancy, or if there is more than one baby – then babies are simply left behind. And what if the Ukrainian woman blackmails the couple for more money before they can get the baby, they so long for?


A German-Ukrainian team researched the structures and routes – and published in the Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Austria and Denmark.
