BERLIN / AMSTERDAM / PARIS / MADRID – Reports and video documentation show police violence, free speech crackdowns, and military-style force against protesters. This investigation examines how law enforcement responded to pro-Palestinian solidarity protests in four major European cities.

It reveals that 'universal' rights have been honoured in some EU capitals but not in others. Government politicians' rhetoric indicates a widespread threat to the right to protest.

The project analyses open-source and closed-source video material, eyewitness interviews, media coverage, and expert interviews.
