Hack Day

Hack Day

This year's Hack Day will take place on the 24th of May. Coders and others interested in open data gather for the Pre-Dataharvest Hack Day and work on datasets of public interest.

Are you a journalist in search for data sets to support your story? Or are you a coder with tools at hand to scrape, clean or analyse data but lacking a story to tell? Are you curious of what you can do with data?

The Hack Day takes place exactly one day before the EIJC18 & DataHarvest conference. It's is a unique opportunity for journalists and coders to get the most out of incoherent, messy, beautiful, big, small, hidden or lonely data. By combining the technical and reporting superpowers of the conference participants, we can help numbers to break free from chains of PDFs and APIs and offer them to the world.

Are you nor journalist nor a coder? Other professionals, such as government officials, academics or (data) designers are welcome as well!

Sign in for the day here. Participants seeking to attend the conference from 25 until 27 May must register and pay here
