Money to stories all over Europe

BRUSSELS - 5 / 7 / 2010 – Almost € 21.000 have been distributed to five teams of journalists. This is the 3rd round of research grants for cross-border and European research stories. Interest keeps growing.

 

Not like an old-fashioned journalist

BRUSSELS – 30 / 5 / 2010 – Old and new journalist thinking clash in English crowd-sourcing project. In Birmingham journalists and non-journalists cooperate and the ongoing research is visible before publication. Similar thoughts are surfacing among it-programmers dealing with tasks that usually were taken care of by journalists. Time to take up an inspiring challenge. 

 

Follow the money (to a European debate)

BRUSSELS – 5 / 5 / 2010 – One way of achieving a European public sphere could be through pooling journalistic research power and publishing to national audiences by language. One example is the common effort on analysing the latest data of the EU farmsubsidy beneficiaries.
