Anna Montraveta Riu (Solsona, 1999) is a freelance journalist based in Istanbul.

She holds a degree in Journalism from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and a Master's in Human Rights, Democracy, and Globalization from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). Anna covers Turkey, Greece, and Cyprus for various Catalan and Spanish media outlets. Her work has appeared in El Punt Avui, La República, RAC1, Altaïr Magazine, L'Esportiu, Setembre, Turkey Recap, Nationalia, Kamchatka.es, The European Correspondent, Pikara Magazine, and The New Middle East.

In 2021, she was awarded the Lluís Espinal Journalism and Denunciation Prize for her publication Kadınlar vardır: quatre cròniques sobre la vida de les dones d'Istanbul. Anna’s journalism primarily focuses on international affairs, humanitarian issues, and migration.
