Hilma Unkic is an experienced freelance journalist from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

From 2015 to 2020, she worked as a journalist and editor at the Media Centre Sarajevo, contributing to the website Diskriminacija.ba. Her work focused primarily on human rights, the protection of marginalised groups, and media development. She currently writes articles for several media outlets in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad, including TOL.org, Diskriminacija.ba and SEENPM.org.

She also works as a communications officer for the South East European Network for the Professionalisation of the Media. She has received the Srđan Aleksić Award and the Combating Stereotypes, Realising Rights Award from UN Women for her journalistic work. She was an N-ost "Reporters in the Field" Fellow. She holds a Master's degree in Communication Science from the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo.
