Ioanna Petsiou is a data journalist.

She studied at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion University. She was awarded a fellowship to attend the Lede Program at Columbia University, where she received training in data journalism.  With a new scholarship from SNF, she participated in the CSIS Journalism Bootcamp in Washington, where, as a member of the data team, she contributed to a report on migration.

Ioanna began her professional career with Reporters United, working as a data journalist on a cross-border investigation with Arena for Journalism in Europe. Through this collaboration, she gained experience in spatial analysis and the use of QGIS, a geographic information system software.
She also maintains a personal website where she publishes articles and methodologies on data collection, analysis, and visualization techniques.
