Maren Sæbø is an award-winning Norwegian freelance journalist and foreign affairs commentator who edits the website Bundu. Based in Oslo, she frequently travels across the African continent.

Maren is also a long-standing member of the board of the Foundation for a Critical and Investigative Press (SKUP).

She was the editor of Verdensmagasinet X from 2008 to 2015. She now writes regularly for Dagsavisen and freelances elsewhere. Maren is also a long-standing board member of SKUP and has worked part-time at Faktisk.no.

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) awarded her the Perspective Award for "Best Foreign Mediator 2014".

In 2015, she received the International Reporters Journalist Award for her insightful reports on Nigeria and the Boko Haram problem. In May 2019, she received Annette Thommessen's honorary award.

Maren grew up in Oslo and Angola and holds a degree in History from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa.
