Silke Weber is a freelance journalist with more than 10 years of experience.

She has been working as a freelance foreign correspondent in Greece since 2018. She has also lived and worked in France and Great Britain beforehand.

Silke's work  has been published in well-known German media like DIE ZEIT, ZEIT Science Magazine, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and Der Spiegel Magazine. For her work, she has received various grants and awards, such as the Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin Research Grant and the Stephan Rudas Journalist Award for in-depth reporting.

She has also been nominated for the German Reporter Award, the Peter Scholl-Latour Award, and the Nannen Award or the KAUSA Media Award of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Germany.

She studied social science and literature before receiving a degree from the well-known German Journalism School in Munich. Her education and work have been supported by fellowships such as the Rudolph Augstein Foundation.
