BRUSSELS - The Data Harvest Conference, one of the most relevant networking events for data journalists in Europe, is up to its third edition this year. Meet committed and clever journalists from all over Europe and find enriching inspiration on European investigative journalism. Dataharvest13 will take place from 3 to 4 May in Brussels.

Did you see the recent report by the OECD on tax evasion? Meet David Leigh from The Guardian, one of the journalists who contributed enormously to the OECD report by spending years digging into the field of tax evasion. Someone from the OECD (tbc) will be present as well, to share with us how the OECD can use what journalists dig up.

Ever thought about how the EU’s annual € 60 billion in farm subsidies affect the political and economic structures in your country? Meet Hans Weiss, author of the Austrian Blackbook on Agriculture (‘Schwarzbuch Landwirtschaft’), who unveiled linkages between farmers’ organisations, politicians and banks. Links were so tight Weiss had to go abroad to find a publisher for his book.

Get fresh data on who got the EU’s € 60 billion subsidies in 2012 and find your very own story. Farmsubsidy data grand old man Nils Mulvad will be there to assist and instruct. Meet journalists who are working on mapping the data. Finally, find new and surprising angles for your particular target group.

More information on the programme will be made available soon!
