Marc Hoogsteyns (°1961) is a Belgian journalist who has been living and working in Africa for 25 years. In 2014 he decided to set up a small press agency in the African Great Lakes region together with colleagues Adeline Umutoni and Chrispin Mvano.

Maria Groot (1983) is an independent journalist.
Her work has been published in Slate (USA) De Groene Amsterdammer (NL) Courrier International (FR) and De Standaard (BE) among others. She has realized cross-border investigative projects related to slavery in Mauritania and migrant smuggling from northern Europe into the UK. Groot holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Fine Arts and a postgraduate degree in International Researchjournalism.
