Mien De Graeve has been a blogger and freelance writer for Flemish news platform MO* since 2011. She moved to Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou in September 2012, where she opened a restaurant and cultural centre.

He is a Chevening alumnus in the United Kingdom and a 2016 fellow of the World Press Institute.

Nicola has worked as a researcher and assistant producer for Panorama, Newsnight, This World and other BBC documentaries. She has been published by the Guardian, New Statesman, and OpenDemocracy. Nicola also undertakes research for television dramas and theatre productions and is a founding member of Dumbshow Theatre.
