The Pascal Decroos Fund strives to advance investigative journalism in the Flemish media. It awards grants to distinctive journalistic projects that are published or broadcast in Flemish media.

Journalismfund.eu LOCAL (pilot)

With this pilot project, Journalismfund.eu aims at addressing the shortage of local independent journalism by awarding grants to local investigative journalistic projects in Belgium and the Netherlands and stimulating cross-border collaboration.

Journalismfund.eu LOCAL

Journalismfund.eu is launching a pilot project in which Belgian and Dutch journalists can jointly apply for a grant for local investigative journalism.

The application deadline for this grant programme is 12 October 2020.

Journalismfund.eu has the ambition to further roll out this project on a European scale, and is looking for donors to do so.

BRUSSELS - On 2 June 2020, the Flemish Government took a final decision on the amount of emergency funds to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes support to Journalismfund.eu, via the Fonds Pascal Decroos project, for local projects of freelance journalists who can rely on few other support measures.
