Rafael Ramesa joined Journalismfund Europe in November 2022. He coordinates Professional Development Grants For Environmental Journalism, a programme that seeks to provide funding for training and professional development for environmental investigative journalists.
Rafael is in equal parts Croatian and Italian. For almost a decade he worked as a journalist in Croatia writing for Italian, Croatian and English-language media outlets. After moving to Brussels, he worked in communications for an EC-funded programme and in project management for an international development project funded by the EEAS.
Rafael holds an MA in Communications and Advertising from the University of Trieste (Italy).
