BRUSSELS – During its February 2018 application round, Journalismfund.eu received 21 applications for cross-border projects. Journalists from all over Europe applied. 

The February 15 deadline for grant applications attracted a total of 21 projects. Behind them were 82 team members from 28 countries, and the total amount applied for was €252,878. The jury will make its decisions in mid-March, and all applicants will hear from us after that.

Journalismfund.eu continues its Local pilot project


BRUSSELS - Teams of Belgian and Dutch journalists can again apply for grants for local investigative journalism at Journalismfund.eu vzw. After a successful pilot project last year, Flemish Minister of Media Dalle is making 75,000 euros available for this purpose.

BRUSSELS - Journalismfund.eu vzw again offers grants for scientific journalism research. The Vice-Minister-President of the Flemish Government and Flemish Minister of Science Policy, Hilde Crevits, provides additional support.

Two New Grant Programmes for Environmental Journalism


BRUSSELS - Today Journalismfund.eu opens two new grant programmes for environmental journalism: one for cross-border teams of journalists and news outlets to investigate environmental affairs, and one for organisations to develop training and support services.

The two programmes will provide more than 9 million euro in direct support over a course of six years, an unprecedented financial injection for independent investigative journalism in Europe.
