After four years of operation, iMEdD, returns with yet another edition of its annual gatherings, this time with a renewed focus on the issue of trust in journalism, in an effort to delve deeper into the underlying causes and consequences, and to come up with possible solutions to regain public trust. International Journalism Week will take place between 5 and 9 October 2022 in the heart of Athens, in the iconic building of the Athens Music Conservatory.

Participants - whether experienced or just beginning- will share thoughts, ideas and best practices on transparency, independent reporting, the regional press and its role in today’s challenging environment, data journalism, multimedia, the power of collaboration and cross-border schemes, alternative sources of funding, fact checking, journalism in times of war and a variety of other issues pertinent to journalism.

Renowned Greek and international speakers, media professionals, representatives of international media and independent organizations such as the Arena for Journalism, GIJN, PolitiFact, Trusting News, BIRN, Solomon, AWJP, API, EDJNet, and more, will come together to share their expertise. In addition, a number of workshops, talks, discussions, case studies, special screenings and other activities will be offered throughout the five-day program, which will wrap up with the European Press Prize Community Event 2022 on the last day.

A key emphasis will be placed on the participation of journalism organizations and independent media from Greece and abroad in the "Media Village", where they will be able to discuss their work and vision by holding special sessions.

Online registration is required for participation. Registration is open at https://forum.imedd.org. Participation is free of charge.
