SÃO PAULO - Journalismfund supports this project aimed to train environmental reporters, trace supply chains linked to deforestation, follow money trails and deliver cross-border investigations on profiteering European markets.

This project aims to organise workshops for newsroom partners in Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Nigeria, and India to train environmental reporters, trace supply chains linked to deforestation, follow money trails and deliver cross-border investigations on profiteering European markets.
The 2-day workshop in São Paulo, with virtual, follow ups, will identify country-
specific causes of deforestation, provide technical training divided into 7 stages of reporting and culminate in creating audiences and accountability in the EU. The journalists will benefit from hands-on editorial coaching to refine live stories, deepen reporting skills and produce collaborative stories with European editors. The project will gather 15 journalists in person, and offer virtual access to 18 more, and recordings for 60 new members in 2023.
