Ana Curic is an investigative and data journalist from Belgrade, Serbia, with more than five years of experience.

She spent almost four years at BIRN Serbia, part of Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, did a fellowship at Investigate Europe and an internship at OCCRP. During that time, she has also collaborated with ICIJ, openDemocracy, and her work was published in different media outlets across Europe. She is currently part of DL News´ investigations team. 

Ana usually covers financial crime topics and works a lot with data, but she has also reported on justice and human rights. For her work, she was shortlisted for multiple national and international journalism awards, including the Sigma Data Journalism Awards 2020 and 2023 and she won the Quality Journalism Award in 2021. She graduated from Faculty of Political Science at University of Belgrade and she is fluent in English and Spanish.

PUNJABI - BELGRADE - India and Serbia have enjoyed visa-on-arrival policy between 2017 and 2023. Investigation revealed a nexus between Indian travel agents who would connect these migrants with donkers (human smugglers) in Serbia, who further helped them cross international borders via countries like Hungary, Romania, North Macedonia, Greece, Spain, and Italy.
