Cindy Sipula is a freelance multimedia journalist, a fact-checker who reports issues concerning the environment, climate change, and sustainable development.

She has over eight years of journalism experience in print, electronic and online media.

Cindy is based in Lusaka, Zambia and a member of the Media Institute for Southern Africa (MISA) Zambia Chapter and the Zambian Bloggers Network.

Her journalistic works have been supported by Earth Journalism Network, the African Union to mention a few. She is also a multiple award environmental journalist and a fellow of the Women in News Leadership Accelerator Program.

She especially reports on environmental issues and has reported on the decline of fish stocks on Lake Tanganyika due to the rising temperatures in Mpulungu district of the northern part of Zambia. Rest of her environmental stories have focused on sustainable agriculture practice, water investment with the recent one written in collaboration with Global Water Partnership for Africa and the UN Water Conference in New York City as a way of addressing climate change.
