Imran Muzaffar is freelance journalist and academic based in Delhi, India, with over 10 years of experience in university teaching, research, and journalistic practice.

Imran is a recipient of 2013 International Committee of the Red Cross-Press Institute of India award for his reportage on underreported issues from Kashmir’s armed conflict. His journalistic work has been published in, among others, Greater Kashmir, Verfassungsblog, Rising Kashmir, and Kashmir Narrator.

He has taught journalism at distinguished Indian institutions such as the University of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi. A doctorate in communication and media studies, his publications have appeared in several referred international journals. He has acted as a peer reviewer for various journals while having served as dissertation supervisor at the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre in Delhi.
