Maël Galisson is a multimedia journalist based in Paris.

He tells stories of exile and borders, and sometimes photographs and records social or environmental struggles for the French and international media. He discovered Calais and its border as part of an association experience lasting several years. Since then, he has documented what is happening on the UK's doorstep through articles and collective works, such as The Jungle: Calais's Camps and Migrants (Polity press, 2018), coordinated by Michel Agier.
