Maren Sæbø is an award-winning Norwegian freelance journalist, foreign affairs commentator and editor for the website Bundu. She is based in Oslo, but frequently found traveling on the African continent.

Maren is also a long-standing board member of the Foundation for a Critical and Investigative Press (SKUP).

She was editor of Verdensmagasinet X from 2008 to 2015. Now she writes regularly for Dagsavisen, as well as freelance elsewhere. She is also a long-standing board member of the Foundation for a Critical and Investigative Press (SKUP) and has worked part-time at Faktisk.no.

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) awarded her the Perspective Award for "Best Foreign Mediator 2014".

In 2015, Sæbø received the "International Reporters Journalist Award" for her insightful reports about Nigeria and the Boko Haram problem. In May 2019, she received the Annette Thommessen's honorary award 

Maren grew up in Oslo and Angola, and has a degree in history from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa.
