Mazhar Farooqui is a multiple-award winning investigative journalist at Gulf News, an English daily published out of the United Arab Emirates.

Over the years, Farooqui has uncovered scores of mega scams.

He lives in Dubai with his wife and three daughters and has previously worked for leading newspapers such as The Times of India, Hindustan Times and Pioneer.

In 2020 he was awarded an honorable mention from the Trace Prize for Investigative Reporting.
