Paloma de Dinechin is a French freelance investigative journalist currently based in the Syria. 

She studied political science with a focus in Latin America before completing her master's degree in journalism at Sciences Po Paris.

Her work has appeared in PBS Frontline, Le Monde, Libération, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Expresso, Die Zeit, and other international outlets.
She has collaborated with the investigative consortium Forbidden Stories, which carries on the work of silenced journalists, contributing to major investigations such as The Cartel Project and the Pegasus Project — the latter of which received an International Emmy Award in 2024.

In 2021, she was awarded the Fetisov Journalism Award for Outstanding Investigative Reporting for the investigation into the murder of Mexican journalist Regina Martínez.
