Robert Schmidt is a Strasbourg based independent journalist within the We Report collective, collaborating with European media outlets including ARTE, Mediapart and DIE ZEIT.

He mainly focuses on corporate crime, neo-Nazi groups and Interpol. With Mathieu Martiniere, he has been author of a 90 minutes ARTE documentary on Interpol, broadcasted world-wide on channels such as Deutsche Welle and AppleTV as “The Interpol case”.

He is co-author of a book on Interpol (“Interpol: L’Enquête”, HarperCollins France, 2023). Robert is also a teacher in media education and honorary professor at Strasbourg University.
