Vahe Ohanyan is a documentary producer and freelance journalist with a dynamic background and over 15 years of international experience in broadcast media and film production.

He worked on award-winning documentaries and successfully executed a wide range of projects in the USA, Kenya, Turkey, and Armenia. From 2016 to 2019, Vahe served as a full-time producer for Voice of America in Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining RFE/RL as a Regional Reporting Fellow, he produced a documentary series for Aliq Media Armenia, focusing on the human aspects of the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war. Vahe holds an MA in directing from the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Film.

He also studied liberal arts with an emphasis on media and film at The Blake School at Minneapolis College, Minnesota, U.S. Vahe is a graduate of the EAVE European Producers Workshop and a UNESCO nominee for ROLEX Awards for Enterprise: Young Laureates Program.
