Yaffa Fredrick is Editorial Director for CCIJ, working to coordinate, guide and edit reporters through their investigative process.

Fredrick has previously edited major investigations into corruption in the South African lottery system, Nigerian officials’ misuse of international development funds and the Botswanan government’s unseemly ties to diamond miners. Fredrick has also produced “Africa Investigates,” a podcast exploring both the investigations and the reporting that went into producing the African portion of Panama Papers. Her written work has been published in World Policy Journal, CNN, Guernica, and elsewhere.
