Edu Ponces studied photography and photojournalism at the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya (IEFC). He started his professional career in Latin America where he was the boss of media investigation El Faro (El Salvador), but also collaborated with other international media like El País, El Mundo, CNN in Spanish, Miami Herald, Clarín, Proceso o Gatopardo, among others. His work is mostly focused on 3 issues: migration, climate crisis, and social violence. He received international awards like the Premio Ortega y Gasset 2019, the World Understanding Award 2014 in Picture of the Year International (POYi), or the best pho- tography book 2010 for Picture of the Year Latin Americano (POYLatam). He teaches documentary photography at Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya (IEFC) and the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB). He is a founding partner of RUIDO Photo.

Bruna Cases is a graduate of journalism from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and holds a postgraduate degree in photojournalism from the Institute of Photographic Studies of Catalonia (IEFC). She specializes in international coverages, especially in topics focused on social and environmental issues. She has experience in audiovisual reporting on maritime is- sues, and she has often worked in the water, both in coastal areas and on the high seas. She has also worked carrying out photographic projects on board sailboats and fishing boats. She is used to working in remote areas that involve travel or adapting to the day-to-day. Bruna works as a photojournalist and often collaborates with the Reuters agency, carrying out national and international assignments.
