BUJUMBURA - The research by Jeroen Janssen, awarded graphic novelist, and journalist Hilde Baele on Mzee Jérôme Sebasoni, who became Che Guevara's guide as a young Inyenzi rebel, took no less than 12 years.

Their investigations led from Kayibanda and Mobutu to Aleida Guevara and from Bujumbura and Kigali to La Havana and Varsenaere. They poured their heroic safari into a fascinating, adventurous and humorous story full of bizarre twists and turns. Never before they had heard a Rwandan speak Spanish. And what was Che Guevara actually doing in Congo?
