Carolina Passos (Italy) is an urban designer and GIS specialist.
From 2012 to 2018, she worked at Vigliecca&Associados, where she had a nationwide impact on projects including the 2016 Deodoro Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro.
Since 2019, she has worked on masterplan development as a contractor for AO Architects Office, as well as providing GIS analysis and visualisation consultancy services to the World Bank Group, the Inter-American Development Bank, UN-Habitat and InfoAmazonia.
She is the founder and an urban data expert at Mapping Lab, where she combines her expertise in planning, design, and GIS. Her work has been featured at the 2018 and 2020/2021 Biennale di Architettura di Venezia, the 2019 Biennale of São Paulo, and the 2019 Seoul Biennale. She was responsible for the cartography of the Brazilian Pavilion, winner of the Golden Lion at the 2023 Biennale di Architettura di Venezia.
