Omar Vera is co-founder of El Turbion and Journalist with 19 years of experience covering human rights, armed conflict, digital surveillance, multinational companies, and socio-environmental conflicts.

He is currently studying for a master’s degree in communication and media at the National University of Colombia, where he researches transmedia narratives, journalism, hypermedia theory, and the digitization of social life. He has studies in Social Communications, Literature and Mechanical Engineering.

Omar is the project coordinator at “Exposing Glencore’s greenwashing” and one of the main investigative journalists.
