Raf Sauviller (1955 - 2018) was a Belgian investigative journalist who wrote for De Zwijger, Panorama, Humo, Mao, Deng, P Magazine, Eos and Hard Gras. Author at Atlas, Van Halewyck, Houtekiet, Manteau and Horizon.

Sauviller wrote a lot about crime, including the Nijvel gang, the underbelly of the diamond trade in Antwerp, Muslim terrorism, cybercrime and, in recent years, the Moroccan drug gangs in Borgerhout. The latter has not been without its dangers. In October 2012, he received death threats after portraying some drug families in Antwerp in P-Magazine. A year before his death, his high-profile crime book 'Borgerokko maffia' was published, an overview of 20 years of drug crime in Antwerp.

Together with former Humo journalist Danny Ilegems, he also wrote extensively about businessman and politician Leo Delcroix, forcing him to resign as minister after a revelation about his villa in the south of France.

ANTWERP - Smuggling, fraud and tax evasion have been the order of the day in the diamond business in Antwerp for decades. The diamond merchants in the 'Square Mile' are living in a vacuum, in a social and judicial bubble that is sustained in part because of the cooperation of politicians and magistrates.
