Thomas Rowley is Eurasia editor at openDemocracy.net, based in London, United Kingdom.

Under Thomas' leadership, oDR has developed new Eurasia-wide focus, bringing in authors from South Caucasus, Central Asia and Ukraine to write about gender, labour rights, environmental activism and a whole range of civil society activity.

Thomas has also shifted the platform’s focus to more investigative work, helping to expose conflicts of interest, abuse of the UK’s lax corporate transparency regime, and connections between the British state and a controversial mining company in Armenia.
