LVIV - The international LMF conference has been held in Lviv, Ukraine, every year since 2013. Last year, it brought together participants from over 26 countries worldwide. Designed for those operating within the international information space, the conference attracts media professionals, researchers, policymakers, communications specialists, public intellectuals, public sector representatives and international organisation representatives.

Registration for the LMF 2026 conference is now open

Registration is now open for this year's Lviv Media Forum (LMF) conference, which is scheduled to take place from 14 to 16 May 2026 in Lviv, Ukraine.

As always, the conference will bring together Ukrainian and international media professionals, public intellectuals, researchers, policymakers and representatives from the non-profit and international sectors.

This year's theme, 'Reality Under Attack: Flight, Freeze, or Fight?”, will explore how truth is challenged and trust eroded when reality is under attack, and the responsibility each of us carries in such situations.

To facilitate communication among international delegates, all conference events will be conducted in English.

The 2026 line-up features some of the world's leading voices in media, technology and philosophy.

  • Lene Rachel Andersen — Danish philosopher and author specializing in postmodern choice and lifelong learning.
  • Natalia Antelava — Georgian journalist and Co-founder/Editor-in-Chief of Coda Story, a publication that covers the origins of global crises.
  • Chris Wylie — Canadian data analyst, whistleblower who exposed Cambridge Analytica's illegal use of millions of Facebook users' personal data for political influence. Current Head of Insight and Emerging Technologies at H&M.
  • Sasha Dovzhyk — Ukrainian writer, editor, director of INDEX: Institute for Documentation and exchange.
  • Shafi Karimi — Afghan journalist and founder of the exile media outlet Future Afghanistan.
  • Tamar Kintsuraashvili — executive director of the non-governmental Media Development Fund (MDF) in Georgia.
  • Kateryna Kobernyk — Ukrainian journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Babel.
  • Natalia Kryvda — Ukrainian philosopher, Chair of the Board of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, professor at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
  • Khadija Patel — South African journalist, media innovator, head of the program department at The International Fund For Public Interest Media.

The conference is designed for anyone operating within the international information space: media professionals, researchers, politicians, communications specialists, public intellectuals, representatives of the public sector, and international organizations.

Interested participants must complete the registration form. Applicants will receive a response regarding their status within two weeks of submission.

Participation requires a charitable contribution (waived for active military personnel and veterans). All proceeds provide institutional support for the Lviv Media Forum NGO.

Submitting an application does not guarantee participation. The organizers reserve the right to select participants based on the event's capacity and objectives.
