Beginning with a self-paced knowledge base—including climate datasets, satellite tutorials, and case studies—the program builds toward expert-led online sessions and a three-day in-person workshop in Odesa, Ukraine.
This Odesa-based workshop will equip 10 to 12 early- to mid-career Ukrainian photojournalists with the tools, networks, and confidence to produce environmental stories from within a conflict zone — stories that connect local realities with global environmental debates and reach international audiences.
Participants will learn from leading photo editors, journalists, OSINT specialists, and environmental researchers how to identify compelling story angles, integrate data and geolocation tools, and develop journalistically robust visual narratives.
Through online sessions with international experts and editors, a 3-day workshop in Odesa, and individual mentorship with Inland photographers, participants will develop a strong body of work, refine their investigative approach, and learn how to pitch their project to international editors and institutions.
Inland Stories is an association of 14 photographers founded in 2018 focused on activities promoting the photographic work of its members as well as organising events related to photography such as exhibitions, talks, workshops, portfolio reviews.
