Internazionale a Ferrara is an annual journalism and cultural festival, organised by Internazionale, one of Italy's most prominent outlets.

The event brings together journalists, authors, activists, academics, and cultural figures from around the world. The programme includes talks, debates, workshops, reporter slam, and film screenings. For aspiring journalists, activists, or anyone interested in media, the festival offers numerous networking opportunities. 

The festival offers a global perspective on journalism and current affairs, by inviting leading journalists from prominent international outlets. Attendees can participate in discussions about pressing global issues such as climate change, politics, human rights, and media freedom. The range of topics covered is incredibly broad, offering deep insights into global dynamics. This year's edition will take place on 4-6 October, you can find the detailed programme here

Journalismfund Europe's grantees — Andy Brown, Michael Buchsbaum, Sara Manisera, Daniela Sala and Stefano Vergine — will present their environmental investigations (in Italian and English) on 4th of October in Teatro Comunale:

Reporter Slam: Five journalists, five investigations, but only one winner. Stories from around the world will take turns on stage, and it will be up to the audience to choose the best one.

🚨 Immersive Workshop: Journalists & Photojournalists in Ferrara

5 investigative journalists and 5 photojournalists focused on producing stories about environmental issues relevant to the European public.
Organized by RUIDO Photo, with the support of Journalismfund EuropeLate Magazine, and Internazionale.

Since 2004, RUIDO photo are a visual newsroom based in Barcelona, Spain, highlighting social problems and denouncoing violations of human rights using all the tools we have: photos and videos, exhibitions, books, participatory photography, and workshops.

A key feature of the festival is that almost all of the events are free to attend, making it accessible to a wide audience. Take note that to access the events at the Teatro Comunale — including the Reporter Slam —, as well as Cinema Apollo, the former Teatro Verdi, and Apollo 3, a paper ticket is required. Such tickets can be collected for free at the stand in Piazza Trento e Trieste, open on Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
