Save the date for a May weekend to meet journalists from different regions of Europe and beyond will provide insights into their work and discuss the pressing matters with them as well as researchers, NGO representatives, and other experts.
Journalismusfest Innsbruck – Internationale Tage der Information (Innsbruck Journalism Festival – International Days of Information) is a place of debate, and cultural exchange. The aim of discussions, book presentations, exhibitions, doc-films and audio features, is to open a window into the complex present in which we live.
The Journalismusfest Innsbruck – Internationale Tage der Information took place for the first time in May 2022. But it has a history: it would not exist without 'Internazionale a Ferrara', the journalism festival open to all organised annually since 2007 by the Italian weekly magazine Internazionale. A few years ago in Ferrara an idea of founding a similar festival in Innsbruck was born.
It is a cooperative project. The event’s organisers partner with quality media outlets from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy, as well as other organisations, to bring this programme to fruition.
The International Days of Information in Innsbruck are supported by a non-profit association: Innsbruck Journalism Festival – Association for the Strengthening of Quality Journalism, Freedom of Information and Democracy.
It was founded by Benedikt Sauer and Markus Schennach.
