
Abdulwaheed Sofiullahi is a Nigerian journalist and researcher focused on climate and environmental reporting.
In 2023, he was a Health Reporting Fellow at the Wits Centre for Journalism, University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is a member of the Oxford Climate Society.
He earned a professional certificate in open-source intelligence techniques (OSINT) for investigating religious extremism in Nigeria, provided by the International Center for Journalists (ICJF) in 2023. Additionally, he participated in a mental health reporting workshop organized by the Center for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) in collaboration with Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative (MANI).
His work has been featured in several international media outlets, including Climate Home News, University World News, the International Center for Journalists Network (IJNet), Petroleum Economist, Minority Africa, El-pais, Aljazeera, Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) and more.
