Ana López García is a freelance journalist and photographer specialising in human rights, environmental issues, and international relations.

She works for various Spanish and European media outlets, including El País, where she covers politics and human rights through narrative and investigative reporting. As a photographer, she collaborates with Europa Press and private enterprises.

Before becoming a journalist, she worked primarily with the Red Cross in the humanitarian sector and lived for several years in West Africa and Lebanon. In the field of media development, she has collaborated with the Journalism Trust Initiative of Reporters Without Borders France, promoting transparency and the fight against disinformation.

She holds a degree in Political Science and Administration from the University of Valencia and the Institut d’Études Politiques de Lyon, a Master’s in Journalism and Digital Communication, and a Master’s in Sustainable Development and Social Economy from the Université Jean Moulin Lyon III.
