Angela Gennaro is an Italian journalist, videomaker and podcaster.
Angela works for ANSA, Italy's leading news agency, where she covers gender and migration issues. She also cooperates with other national outlets, including the newspapers Domani and Altreconomia. She is the editor-in-chief of the feminist magazine Frisson. She was previously a photo editor at Associated Press Italia, and has collaborated with newspapers and media outlets including Current TV, Repubblica.it and Il Fatto Quotidiano. She is the co-author of the book Perdersi in Europa. Senza Famiglia” (2023).
Angela Gennato is part of the Lost in Europe team, a cross-border journalism project investigating the disappearance of child migrants in Europe. Lost in Europe won the 2024 European Parliament Daphne Caruana Galizia Prize for Journalism for revealing the staggering reality that more than 50,000 unaccompanied migrant children went missing across Europe between 2021 and 2023.
