Anna Saraste is a Finnish TV, radio and online journalist trained in video journalism and live coverage.

Her reporting skills encompass TV news reporting and live TV presenting, mobile journalism, news and feature-length writing in both English and Finnish, as well as radio reports and live radio reporting.

Her reporting focus centres on German politics and markets, where she brings more than ten years of experience covering Germany. She specialises in current affairs and German society, with particular expertise in migration and conflict reporting.

She holds an academic background in Journalism from the University of Tampere, Finland, and has established herself as a non-fiction author.

For five years, she volunteered with European Youth Press, the largest European network of young media makers. During this time, she served as coordinator of its Middle East & North Africa committee from 2014 to 2015 and as an Executive Board member from 2014 to 2016. In these roles, she coordinated two significant projects: Rethinking Journalism in 2014 and Free Our Media! Media Freedom in Europe - Limited Edition? in 2015. She continued her involvement as an Advisory Board member from 2018 to 2020.

She is also a founding member of the Nordic Press Association, the Nordic network for young media makers.
