Cristian Andrei Leonte is a Romanian investigative journalist in Constanța.
He is the co-founder of the local investigative outlet Info Sud-Est (2012), as well as the Info Sud-Est Association (2021). In 2022 he co-founded Context.ro with journalists Attila Biro and Stephen McGrath. An editor at G4Media, he has worked on cross-border investigations with reporters from OCCRP, Süddeutsche Zeitung (Germany) and NRC (Netherlands).
He has published numerous investigations on local corruption, the destruction of historical and cultural heritage, environmental issues in the Black Sea and Danube Delta, and multi-ethnic cooperation, among many other subjects.
A founding member of the Intermarium Association for Intercultural Dialogue and Historical Studies, he has contributed to its collective volumes.
He is also co-founder of Heritage Constanța (2022), the county’s first digital archive of historic monuments.
