David Stam is a Dutch criminologist and filmmaker.
With a background in neuropsychology (BSc), criminology (MA) and film studies (MA, currently studying), David Stam has combined research, teaching and filmmaking throughout his career. His interest in social issues is wide-ranging, but injustice is a recurring theme.
Charlatans, con artists, white-collar criminals, institutional injustice, the influence of criminal rappers and other influencers on youth culture. Stam’s other interests include technological developments, geopolitics and (mental) healthcare.
Stam previously worked as a researcher for a journalistic TV programme and as a filmmaker and OSINT researcher for Follow the Money.
Stam gives lectures and presentations on criminological topics, conducts (journalistic and academic) research, and is also a filmmaker and drone operator. He has worked all over the world and functions well in diverse cultural settings. He prefers to focus on projects of a documentary nature that allow room for emotion, development and conflict.
