Ekpali is a Nigerian freelance journalist. He has extensive knowledge of, and a proven track record in reporting on, environmental disasters caused by oil pollution in the Niger Delta.
He has traveled around Nigeria covering various topics at the intersection of the environment, climate change and science for several international media outlets including Al Jazeera, FairPlanet, openDemocracy, African Arguments, and The Xylom. His interest in reporting on climate, the environment and science led him to take a course in 'Reporting Climate Change' at UNINETTUNO University in Italy. During the programme, he published a series of papers, including “Climate Change Threats to Biodiversity in the Mediterranean”.
