Fréderike Geerdink is an independent journalist and author who is based in the Netherlands.

She specialises in the Kurdish struggle and, more broadly, power structures. Between 2006 and 2020, she was a freelance correspondent in Turkey and Kurdistan. She has written for Dutch and international media outlets such as De Groene Amsterdammer, Vrij Nederland, NRC, New Lines and Index on Censorship. Her two books on the Kurdish issue have been published in several languages and have been nominated for a Dutch journalism award. Her latest book, published in June 2025, is a scathing critique of the media.
