Futura D’Aprile is a freelance investigative journalist and defence researcher.
After graduating in journalism from La Sapienza University in Rome, she went on to pusblish articles in various Italian and English newspapers. She currently collaborates with Domani and Il Fatto Quotidiano. She covers the Middle East, focusing particularly on Turkey and the Kurdish issue, as well as international relations, conflicts and defence. She has filed reports from Palestine, Turkey, Turkish Kurdistan, Iraq and Greece.
In September 2022, she published her debut book, Crisi globali e affari di piombo (Global Crises and Lead Business), which provides an overview of the Italian defence industry, the legislation governing the trade of military equipment and the practice of circumventing these laws. She is also an editorial assistant for the podcast agency Bulle Media.
