Guido Verelst is a film director and producer.
After obtaining a degree in French literature and literature at the University of Antwerp, Guido went on to study theatre and film at the Université de Strasbourg. He then obtained a master's degree in film and TV directing at the Brussels film school INSAS.
After working for Belgian broadcaster VRT for a period and shooting the documentary ‘Les Relations Dangereuses’ for them, he founded his production company DEEP FOCUS in 2000. Since then, he has worked as a freelance director and editor.
In 2017, he gained international recognition with his short film ‘Skai Blue’, and in 2024 he made the feature-length documentary ‘Under The Surface’ with the production house Storyhouse.
