Ilse Prinsen is a Belgian freelance photographer and journalist.

Ilse Prinsen studied communication and photography. The central theme in her work is man in all his facets. Since 1998 she has worked as a freelance photographer for media such as Tertio and later Gazet van Antwerpen. Since 2008, Prinsen has focused more on freelance journalism and editing for Mediahuis, CeraScoop and clients from the cultural sector, among others. In 2004, with a grant from the Pascal Decroos Fund, she went to Rwanda to make a photo report on the situation in the country, ten years after the genocide.
