Jean-Yves Tistaert worked in the Brussels (Belgium) region as a social inspector specialised in issues of foreign labor linked to immigration from non EU countries for over ten years. Now he shares his experience as a consultant and press collaborator.

Tistaert co-authored the book "Belgique en sous-sol. Immigration, traite et crime organisé" together with Frédéric Loore. The book was published by Editions Racine in 2007 and selected for the Book Prize 2008 Policy Award of the French Community of Belgium.
