Joseph Poliszuk is an award-winning investigative reporter and editor-in-chief of Armando.info, a media outlet dedicated exclusively to investigative journalism.

He leads a team of intrepid reporters who have produced major investigations revealing financial misdeeds and corruption in Venezuela, which has been ranked one of the 10 most corrupt countries in the world by Transparency International. His reporting has drawn censorship and legal pressure in Venezuela — including a defamation suit that pushed him and colleagues into exile — underscoring both the impact and the risks of his work.

Known for thorough reporting supported by data, Poliszuk has coordinated teams of journalists on transnational investigations, such as the Panama Papers project.

Joseph has received multiple awards for his work, including the Knight International Journalism Award (2018), the Global Shining Light Award (2023) for a collaborative investigation that used AI and field reporting to geolocate thousands of illegal mines in southern Venezuela, and the Reconocimiento a la Excelencia at the Premio Gabo 2025, an honor from the Fundación Gabo celebrating rigorous journalism and commitment to truth in an age of disinformation.

He was multiple times finalist for Latin American Investigative Journalism Prize .
